In May 1988, Dov Moran faced a challenging situation when his wife had to fly to Israel for her grandmother’s funeral, leaving him with very little money. Despite his dire circumstances, Moran’s fortunes took a turn when he received a salary from his part-time job and later secured a $300,000 investment in his company, which eventually became M-Systems. The company’s success and eventual sale for $1.6 billion stand in stark contrast to his earlier experiences of financial hardship and hunger, leaving him with a unique perspective on his journey.
