Widely covered across major media, NoTraffic announced a $90 million Series C funding round, led by PSG Equity, with participation from Grove Ventures, M&G Investments, LifeX Ventures, Meitav Investment House, and Next Gear Ventures, bringing total capital raised to $165 million.
NoTraffic’s platform replaces fixed-timing traffic lights with a real-time, AI-driven system. Built on IoT sensors, cloud, and artificial intelligence, the system identifies and maps all road users and dynamically adjusts traffic flow based on changing conditions. It enables cities to prioritize emergency vehicles, manage traffic around schools and events, and control intersections remotely. As CEO Tal Kreisler puts it, “we are leading a revolution in how traffic is managed, moving to a smart, software-based digital system.”
Company data shows a 70% reduction in red-light violations in Phoenix and a 24% reduction in delays in Oklahoma City. The platform can detect drivers likely to run red lights and respond in advance, or extend green lights in high-risk situations. Cities using the system report measurable improvements in travel times, safety, and pedestrian wait times.
At the same time, NoTraffic notes that long-term data on reducing injuries and fatalities is not yet available, stating that multi-year datasets are required for definitive conclusions. Still, the company points to strong indicators of improved safety and a direct link between red-light violations and severe accidents.
NoTraffic operates in more than 40 states across the U.S. and Canada and is deployed in hundreds of cities, including Houston, Phoenix, and Oklahoma. According to Tal Kreisler, “one out of every 10 cities in the U.S. is already our customer,” and the company is targeting further expansion across North America, with ambitions to reach 10% market penetration in the near term.
The company is shifting traffic systems from traditional hardware to a cloud-connected, software-defined infrastructure with a recurring SaaS model. Lior Handelsman, partner at Grove Ventures and board member, highlights the broader potential: “there is no limit to how many layers of value you can build on this product… it’s a real revolution,” pointing to capabilities that extend beyond traffic control into safety, enforcement, and emergency prioritization.
