NeuroBlade Joins Amazon Web Services to Drive the Future of Data Processing Innovation
A Major Milestone for Israeli Deep Tech
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has finalized an agreement to integrate the core engineering team of NeuroBlade, our portfolio startup pioneering a new generation of data processing technology.
The deal, valued in the tens of millions of dollars, focuses on bringing NeuroBlade’s top talent into AWS to accelerate the development of next-generation data and analytics infrastructure. It represents one of Amazon’s most strategic moves in Israel since its 2015 acquisition of Annapurna Labs and reflects the country’s continued leadership in semiconductor and compute innovation.
From Israeli Innovation to Global Cloud Scale
Founded in 2018 by Elad Sity and Eliad Hillel, both veterans of Israel’s elite Unit 81 and former senior executives at SolarEdge, NeuroBlade revolutionized analytical computing with its SQL Processing Unit (SPU), a purpose-built processor that delivers 4–10x faster performance for large-scale data queries compared to leading CPUs.
Backed by investors including Intel Capital, Grove Ventures, StageOne Ventures, MediaTek, and Marius Nacht, NeuroBlade’s technology has consistently outperformed industry benchmarks such as TPC-H and TPC-DS, establishing it as one of the most advanced data analytics acceleration platforms in the world.
A Partnership Years in the Making
AWS and NeuroBlade have a long-standing collaboration. NeuroBlade’s acceleration technology was previously integrated into AWS EC2 F2 instances, allowing cloud users to run faster analytics workloads seamlessly.
“This transaction marks the next chapter for NeuroBlade,” wrote Elad Sity, CEO and Co-Founder, in a letter to employees. “For me and Eliad, NeuroBlade has always been more than a company — it’s been part of our lives. Over the past eight years, we’ve built technologies and a culture we’re deeply proud of.”
The team, which is composed of dozens of world-class hardware and software engineers, will now join AWS to advance data processing and cloud infrastructure performance globally.

The collaboration not only strengthens AWS’s technology portfolio but also highlights Israel’s continued role as a strategic innovation hub for global cloud and semiconductor development.
